Handmade Project
Hansel and Gretel is one of the darkest tales from the Brothers Grim, one of abandonment, kidnapping, attempted murder, forced detention, cannibalism and cremation.
Using important motives from the book itself, such as sweets and sugar I mixed this with darker themes of blood and and flesh. I created a range of handmade melted wax apples mixing them with meat to create a minimalist book cover design .
